Brodstone Memorial Hospital has been named a 2020 Top 20 Critical Access Hospital (CAH) by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. The rankings were announced by the National Rural Health Association(NRHA).
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has awarded Brodstone Memorial Hospital 5 stars in quality. This is the highest rating awarded. This was award to Brodstone in 2015 & 2020.
Brodstone Memorial Hospital is listed in the Top 100 Critical Access Hospital by iVantage and The Chartis Group. Hospitals who have achieved success in the overall performance is based on a composite rating from pillars of strength which include quality, outcomes, patient perspective, and financial efficiency. Brodstone has received this award nine times, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.
As part of National Rural Health Day in November, 2019, Brodstone Memorial Hospital was recognized by The Chartis Center of Rural Health and the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) for overall excellence in Quality, Outcomes and Patient Perspective. Based on the results of the Hospital Strength Index from iVantage Health Analytics, the Performance Leadership Awards reflect top quartile performance among all rural hospitals in the United States.

Ashley Bouray, R.N.
Ashley is creative within her role in the Specialty Clinic and works to make sure things flow as smoothly as possible. She consistently demonstrates a caring attitude with our patients. She supports her co-workers in completing the necessary tasks to meet the needs of the department. Ashley has taken steps independently to enhance the flow of the clinic, making improvements for both provider and patient. Her presence in the Specialty Clinic has elevated the practice for the whole team.
Ashley has been on the staff at Brodstone for 14 years. In her current position she works with patients and visiting specialty clinic providers.

Molly Rempe, R.N., B.S.N.
Molly is a perfect example of our Mission, Vision and Values. She works to fill in the gaps in the schedule and takes a lot of OB call to cover the department. She displays a level of professional maturity that makes for a great leader. She treats everyone with respect and compassion; her patients love her. Molly advocates for her patients and her teammates. It is so reassuring to know that our facility has someone like Molly to provide care to our patients.
Molly has been a part of the Brodstone family for 7 years, and in the position of OB Coordinator for the last 4 years. Molly teaches Parenting Classes to expectant moms and dads and counsels moms on breast feeding.

Amber Kussman was chosen as Employee of the Year by her peers. She always goes above and beyond her designated duties and makes herself available to help anyone in need. She is willing to volunteer with extra assignments and fields concerns with a smile on her face. Amber is great with communication skills and keeps the nursing staff organized. She is efficient at her job and is not afraid to take on new tasks. Amber is always happy and a pleasure to work with.
Amber has been on the staff at Brodstone for 14 years, working in several positions, currently a Nursing Department Assistant.
Our Employee of the Year is usually honored in October at the Nebraska Hospital Association conference as a Caring Kind Award recipient, however due to COVID that ceremony will not take place.
