Senior Leadership Team
Treg Vyzourek was named Chief Executive Officer of Brodstone Memorial Hospital in January, 2018. Vyzourek has lead Brodstone to be named in the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in 2019 and 2020. In 2020, Brodstone was awarded 5 stars by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in Quality and Patient Experience. Also, for the first time, Brodstone Memorial Hospital was listed in the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the nation for 2020.
Vyzourek is passionate about providing quality health care to the community and designing a strategic plan to meet the needs of the region. Through his leadership, more specialty healthcare providers are available at the Specialty Clinic, mental health services have been expanded and a new construction project is in the planning stages.
Prior to his employment at Brodstone, Vyzourek worked at Great Plains Health in North Platte for 20 years in various roles which included Senior Director of Ancillary Services.
Vyzourek earned his dual Bachelors and Associates degree in 1996 from Fort Hays State University, Hayes, Kansas, where he pursued a degree in diagnostic imaging/radiologic technology. In 2020, he earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Health Care Management.
Sandra Borden has been the Chief Financial Officer at Brodstone Memorial Hospital since 1976. Her leadership skills lead Brodstone to Critical Access Hospital status, complete 3 building projects, 3 successful computer conversions, and implementation of a 340B program. Borden is a member of Healthcare Financial Management Association and Brodstone Memorial Hospital’s Senior Leadership Team. Borden is planning to retire in 2020.
Borden received her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a specialty in Accounting from University of Nebraska-Omaha and passed the CPA exam in 1976.
Cathy Wolff serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Brodstone Memorial Hospital. She has over 34 years of financial experience in healthcare. Wolff joined the staff in 2021. She is a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Wolff spent 29 years at Yuma District Hospital in Yuma, Colorado where she was the Vice President of Financial Services/CFO. She also worked as the CFO for the Northern Colorado Anesthesia Professionals. Her most recent work was as the Controller at the Orthopedic & Spine Center of the Rockies in Fort Collins, Colorado. Wolff is a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and is the past President of the Colorado HFMA
Kori Field, RN, BSN, leads the nursing staff that provides quality care at Brodstone Memorial Hospital. Field began her career at Brodstone in 2003 as an on-call nurse working with patients on the floor, obstetrics, emergency and intensive care. She quickly advanced to full-time Night Nurse Manager and in 2006, became Chief Nursing Officer. Field is a member of Brodstone Memorial Hospital’s Senior Leadership Team.
Prior to her employment at Brodstone Memorial Hospital, Field worked as Registered Nurse at Republic County Hospital in Belleville KS for 10 years. Field earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Fort Hayes State University in Hayes, KS.
Crystal Wyatt, MBA, CHFP, is the Senior Director of Financial Services. Her responsibilities include Materials Management and Patient Financial Services.
Wyatt began her career at Brodstone in 2014 as an admissions clerk. She then worked in Materials Management during a software conversion. In 2015, she was named Business Office Director and later transitioned to Controller. Prior to Brodstone, Wyatt worked at Zoltenko Farms, Inc. as the Office Manager working with accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, and purchasing.
Wyatt graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Public Health and in 2017 with a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Western Governor University.
Judy Baker is Clinic Manager and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. She supervises and manages all functions of the three clinics, Superior Family Medical Center, Nelson Family Medical Center and Edgar Medical Clinic.
Baker started her career at Superior Family Medical Center in 1982, as a receptionist, transcriptionist and insurance clerk and later becoming the Office Manager. In 2002, when Superior Family Medical Center joined Brodstone Memorial Hospital, she became the Clinic Manager. Prior to that, she worked at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings as the Officer Manager of the Physical Therapy Department.
Baker graduated from Southeast Community College in Lincoln, with an Associate Degree in Business.
Doug Wehrman, DPT, is the Director of Ancillary Services. He is a Physical Therapist and sees patients in the Rehabilitation Department. His responsibilities also include Therapy, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Laboratory, Thrive Center, and Cardiopulmonary. Wehrman is a member of the Senior Leadership Team He has been with Brodstone Memorial Hospital’s Rehabilitation Department since June of 2010, becoming the Director in 2015.
Doug received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in 2010. He received his undergraduate degree at Hastings College where he majored in Biology. Doug has been credentialed as an Advanced Clinical Instructor by the APTA since June 2016.
Chris Flaata, MHA, RHIA, is the Senior Director of Clinical Information Services. Flaata is the Compliance and Privacy Officer and Risk Manager. Her other areas of responsibility include Health Information and Utilization Review. She began her career at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in 2009 as Health Information Director. Flaata is a member of Brodstone Memorial Hospital’s Senior Leadership Team.
Prior to her career at Brodstone Memorial Hospital, Flaata worked as the Clinical Data Manager in Health Information at Saint Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Flaata received her Masters of Health Administration from Louisiana State University in 2019 and a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Administration in 2010 from Dakota State University. She holds her Registered Health Information Administration (RHIA) through the American Health Information Management Association.
Becca Hedstrom, RN, BSN, is the Chief Quality Officer and is responsible for ensuring the clinical and operational oversight of quality, patient satisfaction, employee health, infection prevention, best practice and regulation integrity. She is a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Hedstom began her career in 2008 as a nurse aide, then as a floor nurse moving to infection prevention and employee health along with utilization review. Prior to being employed at Brodstone, she was an interim healthcare agency as a nurse.
Hedstrom graduated from Bryan College of Health Science with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.
Heather Erickson serves as Director for Brodstone Memorial Hospital Foundation. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, her responsibilities also include dietary & marketing. Erickson joined the staff in 2019.
Erickson has a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Restaurant & Tourism Management with an Event Planning Emphasis as well as minors of Business and Leadership & Communication from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Erickson’s most recent background was in economic development, marketing and event planning. She was previously employed by the City of Superior and Superior Development Corporation.
Norrisa Flores is the Executive assistant to the CEO. Additional duties include contract management and providing administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, the Hospital Governing Board, and Department Heads. Flores joined the staff at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in 2017, becoming Executive Assistant in 2018. Flores graduated from Bellevue University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration. She is a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Prior to her employment at Brodstone, Flores’ most recent background includes administrative management and hospital food and beverage. She served in the U.S. Army National Guard as an 88M Medium Truck Driver and served a tour in Iraq in 2009-2010 prior to ending her 8 year career as a Non-Commissioned Officer.
