Governor Pete Ricketts revised the Directed Health Measure (DHM) for the South Heartland District Health Department late on Thursday, April 30th. Counties included in this new DHM include Adams, Clay, Nuckolls and Webster. The new DHM will be effective at 12:00AM on May 4th and continue until May 31st. SEE FULL DHM HERE

Key points of the DHM include:

  • All restricted activities will continue to be restricted through May 31st except for:
    • Elective surgeries and procedures allowable for Acute Care Hospitals and Critical Care Hospitals (Brodstone Memorial Hospital) so long as the facilities are able to maintain certain thresholds of general and ICU bed capacity, ventilator capacity for non-elective surgery/procedure patients and a two week supply of necessary Personal Protective Equipment.
    • Religious Services, including weddings or funerals, are allowed but are limited to the ceremony or service only. During religious ceremonies and services, household units must maintain a minimum of 6 feet of separation. Items should not be shared or distributed between different parties.
      • The state released guidelines for conducting faith-based services – SEE HERE

“Please continue to follow the DHM. This was designed to help us maintain a safe environment for the communities we serve. We understand that some may be disappointed with not fully opening as in other locations of the state, but with our proximity to Adams and Hall County we feel this DHM is in our best interest. We encourage each religious entity to follow the recommendations of the DHM to the extent that they feel comfortable for their congregation.” – Treg Vyzourek, Brodstone CEO
